The North Steyne Boardriders kept the thrusters dry and headed out to the back shed to dust off the ol' single fin this weekend for their monthly meet. With The Morning of the Earth channeling through the PA system the old boys slipped back into their element while the grommets wondered how they were going to turn a board with only one fin. The competition format required each surfer to ride a different board in every heat and old school moves were smiled upon giving the old fella a chance to show off a few rare moves from back in the day. But it wasn't all Soul Arches and Head Dips as the the groms took their new school act to the single fin on High Performance boards. In the end surfing was the winner and good old fashion fun was had by all. Waves aren't looking all that crash hot this morning.
