Grief

I want to acknowledge the grief and fear that the Jewish community must be experiencing after the attack in Bondi on Sunday night. A feeling of safety and social cohesion is at the heart of what makes this country great and when that is shattered it's heartbreaking. After the grieving, enquiries and justice, I hope we can come back safer, closer and full of hope. For now, my thoughts are with the Jewish community, the community of Bondi and greater Sydney.

This morning I had a stroll across the sand at Freshwater. It was a trademark beautiful summer's day with warm morning sunshine and the cool ocean beckoning. I felt humble and lucky.
