Smokey
Rising
This morning it's exceedingly obvious that we're in the midst of another bushfire season; let's hope it's a mild one. Smoke is weaving it's way through the pines and streets of Manly, casting a yellow tint and besmirching the air with the smell of fire. It's the harsh reality of Australia's summer and our thoughts go out to those have have lost property not far to the north of us.
The light offshore at sunrise wasn't doing much to shift the smoke out to sea. But, at least it left the ocean looking more polished than yesterday. There's not a heap of surf on offer but it's been slim pickings of late so we're grateful for just about anything right now. Enjoy what you can.
