Sunrise Folk

There's lots to do in Byron, but top of the list for almost everyone at some stage during their visit is to catch sunrise at Cape Byron Lighthouse. As Australia's most easterly point, if you make up the hill in time, you'll be among the first people in Australia to welcome the day, it's quite a treat! Today we scored a special sunrise; plenty of mood and texture thanks to a couple of cloud bands that shot overhead just before dawn. My favourite kind of sunrise!

So if I was up before dawn, why's today's post so late you ask? Well that's a simply one, I've been surfing! It's not big but when the water's 26 degrees and there's fun little wedges coming in on both sides of the cape, you surf and you surf and you surf! I’ll probably surf again too!

See, told you there's plenty to do in Byron!
