What time is smoko these days? Sometime between breakfast and lunch right? It's good time for a paddle 'cause the morning crew's packed up and the lunch rush froth fest hasn't quite started. I popped into North Curl for a quick gander in the corner. At high-tide that beach must be just about the most dangerous beach on the East Coast; so much water moving!

The good news was the flags were only about 5 metres wide and the hightide rips was wedging up against 4ft of SSE swell - perfect conditions for a half-hour smoko session!
