Thirty-Three
Back to normal… sort of
Morning. It's warm out there already! 22˚ throughout night and we're projecting our way to thirty-three degrees today. Our family is fresh back from a little bush escape down the south coast, now that all the grommets are safely back in the schoolyard it feels like the best time to go find some space north or south of here. Doesn't really matter which way you go it's a beautiful stretch of coast we live on!
This morning I took a wander down on the sand at Freshwater Beach. Feels like things are mostly at a normal rhythm at Freshie, plenty of people surfing, swimming, paddling, riding horses.
Meanwhile the Queenscliff to North Steyne is mostly void of swimmers and surfers. Might have something to do with the banks but most likely the constant whirring of the shark alarm. I heard it twice while I was at home editing this morning; can't say it's my favourite sound. Not sure whether it's the drone pilots, tagged sharks, lifeguards or the public that's reporting a sighting. It'd certainly be good to know the details of what's being seen. Anyone know if there's data being collected on sighting by the SLNSW drones and if so, where we can see it?
Take care.
