It's warm out there; 28 degrees already and we're en route to 31˚ in Sydney. A little like yesterday with a bit of raised dust and less crazy storm prospects. Your morning ritual today was best served submerged or at least with a dip in the ocean on the side.

Surfing early morning has been challenging of late. The sandbanks are unusual to say the least; no sand at Queenie and a shallow, flat, hard-packed shelf-like bank just off the shoreline most of the length of the beach. Low-tide has been treacherous, even with minimal swell. Fun for a body bash...

I want to extend my thoughts to Juan, Archer and the Rhino Glassing team. Some of the most beautiful boards I've ever seen were made from skill and sweat in that factory and to see the place destroyed is difficult. I can't imagine the devastation the guys that worked there must be experiencing. Support from the surfing community will be necessary to help the guys back from this one...
