Monday colour
After a week of persistent strong onshore's and heavy rain, the weekend of waves was a just reward for enduring the weather. All day offshores, glassy conditions and a decent nor'east ground swell came together with some of the best waves we've seen on the Queenscliff to South Steyne stretch in a long long while. Saturday and Sunday pumped from sunrise to sunset and there was no shortage of surfers emerging from a landlocked week.
This morning it's mellowed considerably in both crowd and wave energy; everyone's had their fill or there's more pressing matters to attend on a Monday. Still, there's enough swell lingering on for fun to be had and odd bigger set rolling in packed with memories of the weekend.
Let's hope the swell lingers a little longer.
