There's still truckloads of swell on the beaches this morning and the offshore wind has just about everywhere looking spick. I took a drive up the beaches and checked about 20 spots along the way…

Brrrr, how about that for a frosty weekend! Fresh winds, cold temperatures and snow in the Blue Mountains erased any misconceptions that we'd escaped the depths of winter. We're in it and we're in it deep!

This morning felt a little like summer, it was only the 6:41am sunrise that gave it away as mid-August. I rolled out on to the beach with a northerly wind pushing my bicycle and I the south - classic summer feels.

There's a solid push of south swell swinging through Sydney today. Manly had razor sharp closeouts on the early morning low tide and Curly was struggling with the extra exposure; looked a little raw and dishevelled.
