This morning's is almost a carbon-copy of yesterday only this time the energy in the Tasman is up; way up on expectations! I figured I'd be rolling down the beach to a flat ocean, instead it's knee to shoulder high and

It's another day where the Tasman is almost flatlining. There's just a gentle undulation of 0.5ft of south swell with the occasional ridable pulse. It's strictly log's only; anything else and you're simply swimming.

If yesterday was Autumn, this morning feels a bit like winter! The cool sou'wester and light rain completely disarmed any warmth from the sun and the fingers, ears and toes were feeling it! 

The southerly is upon us, the clouds are racing over head and all of a sudden it feels like autumn again. See you later Indian Summer and farewell to that neat little pulse of east swell…

Somewhere's got to be pumping right now. I know, Manly's like 1 foot with the occasional 2 footer but this is no April Fools! There's 4-5ft of South swell out to sea, you can see it marching right past.

Ah Friday mornings... the gateway to Saturday and a wind down to the weekend. It's was a beautiful morning out there with whispy pink clouds and the occasional clean 2 footer. Just enough to set you up for the day.

Silky smooth morning out on the water. There was a cool, light offshore humming through the pines and just enough time to sneak a few runners in before the guillotine low tide closeouts came into play.

No matter how much you watch the weather and keep an eye on the charts, sometimes those 10 out of 10 days just sneak up on you. After a trip out west to Nikon HQ, I got back into Manly around 3pm ….
