Back in the Tasman this morning and it's fresh in there!  Feels like it's dropped another 2 degrees since I left town 3 weeks ago.  What do you reckon?  Is it about 16 degrees in the ocean right…

After a brief overnight stay in LA we packed the car for a long weekend and charged back down South of the Border; through San Diego, skipped Tijuana, straight through Rosarito and beyond

Finally, our swell drought has broken! There's waves! It's very South and the wind's is ripping through it but after a long winter of discontent, a roll and tumble through some South swell

It's getting lighter early as we may our steady march towards Spring, only today the Sun seemed to take ages to emerge from behind a bank of clouds sitting low on the horizon.

We've got waves!
Well it's definitely the closest thing we've had to waves proper waves in a couple of weeks. 

Oh Boy! It's a perfect day out there today. Yep! Ten out of ten. We've got sunshine, light wind and comfort levels are sitting just where we like it.

It was a good morning to be up early, unless of course you had surfing on your mind. 

This it's not entirely unsurfable. You'll need foam and lots of it! Thickness, width and length at the upper extremes of surfboard design. There's the occasional bombing 1ft set wave and you'll score

Anyone else get the feeling like Winter might be all done and dusted? Warm sunshine, Nor-Easter's and little wind swell's have been the norm. It's even forecast to be 26 degrees next

This morning we're back to flat, well almost. There was half a foot of shorebreak and the feeblest of breaks over the hill at Curl Curl - surfability was debatably. 

It's a sensational Monday out there! Hang around in the sun enough and it's pretty easy to convince yourself Spring has arrived early.
