Turning up to the beach was a weird experience this morning. Being one of the first on the sand, every fly within a 500 metre radius latched on to me; there were so many flying around me it was humming. And then that sunrise happened! Did you see it? I guess it's got something to do with yesterday's heat and those warm offshore winds sending a blanket of haze out to sea. The light went from pink to orange and onto yellow - real nice! I fended off the flies with my one spare hand for 45mins but eventually they beat me and I had to dive into the ocean to get escape. Best place to be anyway!
