A gusty Southerly blew through early this morning with winds up to 50km/h heralding a chorus of banging doors and blinds to echo through Manly from 4am. If you're looking for waves, the Southern corner at Manly is mostly protected from the full force of the wind but the change has knocked all but perhaps a meager 1ft of yesterday's punchy little NE swell. Best to sleep in this morning I reckon. It's cool outside in the wind and pretty hard to believe we're kicking off Summer today. The wind is going to settle a touch by this afternoon but the temperatures for the next five days look to be maxing out just over 20 degrees. Beyond that even the Bureau are calling for a mild Summer ahead. It's Summer folks, but not as we know it. Don't forget to come on down to The Steyne tonight for the Sprout/Rope & Anchor Summer Launch event from 6pm. The atmosphere will be all Summer even if the weather isn't. See you tonight!
