Newcastle

I love swinging past Newcastle on the way home. It seems like a utilitarian, no-fuss kind of city where things are just the way they should be. Raw cliffs, curved of concrete and white rails frame beautiful beaches. Even the art-deco Ocean Baths seems to blend 'deco' with with 'useful' just perfectly.

I didn't see much in the way of surfable waves this morning. I was probably looking in all the wrong places or maybe the tide was wrong. It seemed like there was a nice little NE swell running, it just wasn't breaking!

Looks like we're in for some very pleasant weather in Sydney this weekend- sunshine and 29 degrees tomorrow!
