NE Blast

Dawn Light

After yesterday evening's blast of northerly wind I figured the Tasman would be a jumbled puzzle this morning. However, I can report that I'm pleasantly mistaken. At some point during the night the wind must have angled a touch offshore and the peaky little wind swell that's been whipped up is almost glassy and oh so surfable this morning. It's a summer swell with a winter offshore; we'll take that combo any day!

This afternoon the weather will turn and the Bureau predicts 3 days of rain and showers. You might want to get your umbrella handy. The weather is en route with a heap of wind from the South and a short-lived bump of south swell. There'll be waves, but I'm not sure it's worth getting too excited about.

Tomorrow we're going to get wet; one way or another.
