Lucky Day

The Dark Right

The Dark Right

Did you surf yesterday afternoon?  That was the question reverberating about the line up this morning.  Yeah, the wind changed and there was 4 hours of peaky, hollow, offshore conditions as the Nor-East wind swell marched in relentlessly; it was classic Manly conditions.  Photo’s you ask? Sorry, I surfed from 4-6pm and ran out with the camera just as the Southerly hit late in the afternoon.

This morning the Nor-East swell is gone, replaced instead with a solid South Swell.  It’s amazing what a different swell direction makes.  Yesterday was pure peaks, this morning it’s mostly straight-handers.  Picking a good one is as hard as picking a winner in the Melbourne Cup today – my money’s on Thomas Hobson.

Two solid swell in two days!  Come on, it’s got to be our luck day!
