Friday's swell kicked in a little larger than was predicted. I'd say there must have been some 8 footers rolling through late Friday afternoon but it was wild and unruly. On Sunday morning the swell finally found its potential with a little offshore grooming and a few double over-headers. It was as good as I've seen the surf at Manly for at least a couple of months. This morning it's leftovers; not quite as good as the real thing but plenty there to satisfy your appetite. There's a bit of a bump on it due to overnight Northerlies but there's good shape and clean faces. The week ahead is looking much the same as this East swell runs its course.
