A forecast of 5-6ft of SSE swell and a grooming Sou-Wester is reasonable grounds to set the alarm a little earlier than usual and buy some over-time in the line up. It was still a little lumpy at first light but by 6am the offshore had done it's job and it was clean faces and feathered lips. Closeouts and floaters were the rage however, true to that touch of east in the swell, every now and then there were some corners if you were fast enough.
