Tube Fest

Will under the curtain

It was a veritable tube fest out there this morning. Conditions were magic with a decent ENE swell and just the right amount of sou'westerly wind.

First wave I saw as I swam out was a nice little envelope with a grommet (Will pictured above) tucked neatly. From then on it was barrel on barrel including a real special one that Saxon got (shot 5 below) that he must have travelled in for 50m before coming out post-spray. One of the longest, cleanest tubes I've seen at North Steyne at this size. I'll endeavour to add the sequence to Instagram (40+ shots in the sequence!) so stay tuned.

After a decent hiatus shooting from the water, it was such a treat to be amongst the action on a morning like this. I swam until a set caught my ankle and stripped my swim fin. If anyone spots a single blue & yellow DaFin in the lineup, please drop at the Surf School - thank you.

Enough from me. Get outside if you can, it's a cracker!
