King George

Tuesday Feels

It'd be hard to start today's post with anything other than talking about George Pittar and his crowning performance at The Margaret River Pro. Professional surfing is a tough ride and very few taste the spoils of victory. Dropping off the tour, fighting his way back and then flowing with the smoothness of water through a field of World Champions to join the elite ranks of surfers that have won an event on the World Champions Tour. What an achievement!

George's post-heat interview was classic and the scenes of jubilation under the tent at the North Steyne Boardriders Club comp will go down in Manly folklore. Congratulations George - King for a day and a competitive fire fanned with the winds of hard-earned victory. If you haven't seen the final yet, click through here.

As for your Tuesday back on earth, it's a beauty. Sunshine galore, light winds, warm water and just enough ENE swell to justify a light paddle.

Enjoy the day.
