Good afternoon. If you're anywhere near a window right now you'll know it's cold, wet and windy outside right now, the southerly up and the commute home's looking a little grim. Hopefully the following post might cast a bit of sunshine over your head.

This morning I did the classic "drive around a check everywhere and conclude the best waves are straight out front" routine. You know the deal!

In a huff of frustration I put the camera down, suited up and went surfing... just as the southerly came up. Perfect timing! We've all been there - photography can be the same game as surfing when you're chasing gold.

Anyway, the swell's faded a touch but it's still pretty solid. The wind was offshore and there were even moments of sunshine about this morning. Hope you found yourself a little gold out there.
