Welcome to week 8 of 2026. It feels like we're in forth gear now and things are humming along pretty smoothly. School's back in session, the holiday's are a memory and mostly things are back to normal. Our morning's are being trimmed but there's still plenty of daylight in the evening.
It's been a slow start to the year wave wise with not much to talk about over shoulder-high, just the back and forth of short-period nor-east wind swells and small southerly pulses. We're at the phase of the moon where tide's are high in the morning and it's pretty much a choice between longboards or sitting out in the deep wishing you had more foam. Easy choice if you've got one...
