I had every intention to shoot from the water this morning but as soon as I checked the wind direction at dawn I knew it wasn't on. I don't know where these Northerlies are coming from but no wonder it's so warm; even the birds are confused and heading South. There's very little swell and a light bump on the water from the overnight onshore. Hard to get excited about that combo This weekend the charts are showing a swell from the South West; that's not a great swell direction for us considering Manly faces East-North-East. There's a bit of size to the forecast so extreme South swell magnets should see some action. If you're chasing waves this weekend you might want to plan a trip out of town.
