Bumpy conditions and heavy clouds were the flavour of the morning. There's plenty of swell but it's a touch unruly and raw; surfable but not pretty. You might rather be in Tahiti or elsewhere in the Pacific where it's warm and pumping! North Narrabeen's Nathan Hedge has once again earned himself a wildcard for the main event at the Billabong Pro Tahiti making his way through to the finals of the trials in solid tubes. It's been pumping over there and dangerous as always. Kevin Bourez (Michel's brother) suffered multiple head fractures when he went over the falls face first into the reef. Heavy!! The report is upbeat for the main event kicking off Friday.
